After a 3 month remodeling / gutting my kitchen, I am writing reviews of all the appliances I purchased. These ovens are a great value!

27” ovens are starting to become very hard to find and I have found that most companies are just making the 30”. I ordered these ovens in June and they were delivered and installed the week of September 17. The reason I bring this up is that if you are looking at 27” ovens for your kitchen, you may want to really make a decision quickly because they are getting harder to find and companies will make the 30” first.

One of the reasons for the delay was that these ovens are a new model from last year. I have to say it was WELL worth the wait. The main difference between this new model and the old model is the size of the oven windows. They are HUGE and that is a plus for me and makes them look larger than their 27” size.

The control panel is very well laid out and they are surprisingly easier to use than I thought because there are many options to choose from. One of the great things about these ovens is the documentation that comes with it. The quick reference guide is terrific and once I went through that to get the basics, I was able to quickly digest and understand the user manual so I recommend going through the quick reference guide first.

One warning that I would like to get out that I did not expect is that you should run the self clean mode on both ovens before using them for baking or cooking. I do not know why this happens but the first time I used them there was a lot of smoke and fumes created when turned on the first time. I guess it may because they are new (this is the first time I ever bought new appliances) but once the self cleaning was completed, no more fumes, smoke or odors were present.

I love the fact that even though both ovens are convection (there is a model where only the top is convection so be sure you are looking at what you want). More importantly, the convection can be turned on or off which is great because I have a few recipes that do not like convection for baking.

Setup is a breeze and the performance is terrific. I looked at other “high end” brand names and this is truly the best value. Other high end double ovens were a lot more expensive. The display is very informative giving the temperature as it warms up and really keep a CONSTANT temperature which is something my old oven just did not do. I actually backed a soufflé last night and it came out PERFECT!

The racks are VERY sturdy and slide out so easy (no more burning my arms struggling with a friction rack. Each oven comes with one rack that has rollers and slides out with ease without sacrificing sturdiness and control. Also, I was amazed that you can touch the front of the ovens while on and it is cool to the touch.

If I had a critique is that, for me, this was the first high end appliance I purchased and all the robust options that come with them can be overwhelming to figure out. That’s why the quick reference guide was so important for me.
