I cannot recommend this item unless you get at least a 5 if not 10 year warranty: This is one of the most beautiful ovens I found when designing our new kitchen 6 years ago. In the first two years it worked well although it was a little hard to get used to with its non-intuitive user interface and poor location of reset controls. However, just after its 2 year warranty expired, the light switched on and off at random times. Recently I fixed it myself: the relay board required to fix it was nearly $250.00 Incl tax. It also stopped heating completely, yet all the controls looked normal. Dacor customer service advised me to call an appliance repair person. I can fix most anything if I have the time, tools and proper documentation but Dacor will not support the owner fixing their own appliances. I discovered that the problem was the hidden over-heat switch, which mistakenly triggered when broiling. I had to disassemble part of the oven to access the switch to reset it. I could have paid an appliance technician $100 to $200 per hour to press a button, (which should have been documented in the operators manual). Most appliances with rest buttons make them visible and clear to their users- i.e. vacuums, disposers, etc.
