The Frigidaire PLMV169DC is a 1.6 Cubic Foot and 1,000 Watts Over-Range Microwave Oven in Stainless Steel. Eleven Variable Power Levels vary cooking speed for everything from fast reheating to delicate sauces. Memory Cook quickly recalls one set of cooking instructions previously stored in memory. One Touch Cooking provides 20 additional cooking and reheating selections including dinner recipes. Six Defrost options quickly defrost meats and poultry by weight.

Positive This unit was perfectly rectangular.
Cons: Noise, fan capacity seems overstated, busy panel, absurdly weak lights inside and out.

This microwave does the fundamental things well, those things that the $69 stainless steel discount store models do well too. It heats food, pops popcorn, reheats coffee.

It doesn’t do the extra things you’d expect it to for the price, like exhausting considerable amounts of air quietly. Instead, it seems to exhaust miniscule amounts of air and can be heard from the sidewalk.

The interior light is incredibly faint, and the exterior light (”work light” to theoretically light up the stovetop beneath) is just as faint. I have a Frigidaire stove beneath this with the same problem, but I also have a Frigidaire fridge and freezer that glow like a thousand suns inside, so the inconsistency is aggravating. The panel options are a little too numerous, to the point where the “rice” and “frozen veggie” buttons start to obscure the functions which you might really be seeking.
