I bought this oven a few weeks ago and have baked cookies cakes and breads using the bake, convection bake and surround bake modes. Proof setting works well for bread.

You have to be in the kitchen in order to hear the Timer (Miele support line confirmed this). You can have no competing sounds such as fans, running water, etc. as you won’t hear the Timer. Also, it only times to 59 minutes so for roasts, turkey, etc. you will need to buy a separate Timing device. The oven heats up beautifully and the control panel is easy to use. The manual is clear and written well. It was the only oven that I could find that would fit into my 22″ deep cabinet. The Wolf and Dacor were similarly priced but they are 24″ deep so I had no choice. The racks on the Miele do not compare to the new gliding racks the other high end ovens offer. It comes with a baking pan/rack that uses the space well and is super easy to clean.

I have a Miele dishwasher and washer and dryer and I have been pleased with these for years but I am very disappointed about this Timer issue in particular. The oven is easy to wipe out, does have a self clean feature which I haven’t used yet.
