When this oven was installed ONE year ago the lower door glass detached at the upper corner. I could see a broken piece of plastic inside the handle portion that was suppose to be holding it. This is a heavy piece of glass with PLASTIC securing it to the door! I studied their lame schematics to try to identify the part and then called Jenn Air. They couldn’t figure it out either so I decided I would have to improvise something later.
Since then the glass was duct taped to the door (very attractive)until…..last week when the upper oven quit! As I had never used the lower one due to the door problem I decided to check if the lower oven element was functioning. It wasn’t and in the process the glass slid off of the frame and jammed the two diagonal corners into the side of my cabinets! Now I have a bent glass frame, two gouges and A USELESS OVEN!
I have called my dealer who refered me to their repairman. He told me to call Jenn-Air and …..you guessed it…..Jenn-Air told me to call my dealer!!! So far I have received the best service from an online repair blog.
This is my first and LAST Jenn-Air appliance. I’ll avoid Maytag and any other affiliates as well!!
