We made the transition to convection/combo oven with this model from Fisher/Paykel and have been so impressed with it. The versatility is amazing. We roast alot of vegetables and meat - using the probe makes roasting a quick, easy option for dinner.

While 2 years later, we are still learning the potential uses of this oven (just used it to raise bread: the bake setting at 80 degrees) we couldn’t be happier.

We had to have the oven door glass replaced, it leaked somehow and became soiled between the two layers of glass. The tech was good and taught us to clean the glass before using the self cleaning function - which does a much better job on the oven interior than on the door glass; sometimes baking grease onto the glass making it quite hard to remove.

We also had the probes replaced, it was quick and easy.

The ovens are beautiful to look at, easy to self clean. The convection options have us using the microwave less and less. When I show off my new kitchen I always say these ovens are my favorite appliance (yes, they won over a great Wolf stovetop and a French door stainless refrig/freezer from Amana.)Frankly, I have gone from being a good cook to a more adventurous, creative and successful cook/ entertainer with these ovens.

Just a word on christmas cookies - my dream was to load up all six shelves with cookie sheets and be done with it in one batch using convection options. I tried and tried - I really can only successfully do 4 sheets at once. Even with the true aero cycle they won’t cook 6 sheets of cookies at once evenly. But hey, who’s complaining?

The company who makes the oven contracts with local service companies and appears to have good oversight. In the process of getting the two repairs we learned that they had ended a contract with one local company - a move we thought well advised after our experience with them. The folks at the f/p 800 number are more than helpful.

Bottom line, love this oven, buy it if you have the cash and good resources for local service.
