I have had this oven one month. From day one it has not met any of my expectations. The “fast preheat” takes 30 minutes just like the regular preheat, in spite of Bosch claims that the oven will heat in 12 minutes or less on “fast”. The convection feature sometimes bakes evenly, however to get the best results I have to cook at regular recipe temperature (not 25 degrees lower per manufacturers instructions when using convection mode). I also end up baking the biscuits, cake, cookies whatever at the high end of the recipe time or longer. Yes, the fan works. The preheat beep and the digital readout will indicate temperature has been achieved when in fact the oven thermometer reads between 150 to 200 degrees lower!! I have not used the probe yet but feel that we paid a whole lot of money for an oven that is just average in performance. It does not measure up to the expectations of Bosch products. I had the warranty service provider come look at the oven today. I have called and emailed Bosch several times and only one customer service rep emphatically stated “it takes 30 minutes for a Bosch oven to heat” and claimed ignorance over the “fast preheat” option. The service man called Bosch technical services while he was here and the story is that the beep and the readout mean the oven wall is up to temp but then the inside air and the racks have to heat. Well I’d like to know why a high end oven can’t have an accurate readout. I have been on other forums about this problem and it seems that other high end oven brands perform the same way. If I had known that this brand oven would not perform any better than a lower end brand I wouldn’t have wasted my money. After a month, I am still not in love with this oven, not even in like.
